Objectives
ACE is a nonprofit organization of registered, professional consulting engineering firms committed to supporting the Consulting Engineer working in the field of telecommunications. This association, organized in 1950, is committed to the following objectives:
- To foster harmony throughout the engineering profession.
- To promote the professional and economic welfare of its members.
- To maintain professional standards as legally required and as outlined in the code of ethics of the National Society of Professional Engineers.
- To advance the value of the Consulting Engineer and establish his position in telecommunications engineering with the industry.
Activities
ACE provides service to the telecommunications industry through coordination efforts with various professional organizations, industry associations and government agencies to advance and maintain initiatives, contracts, standards, and practices of benefit to the industry as a whole. The biennial training seminar sponsored by the Association continues to serve telecommunications service providers by providing timely, application-based programs focused upon state of the art topics facing the telecommunications industry.
Membership Eligibility
Any individual, firm or corporation is eligible for membership in this Association who has certified that said individual, firm or corporation is legally rendering professional engineering services to a telephone or communication company. A principal of the firm must be legally practicing professional engineering.
